Guide to Outdoor Terrace Furniture in AutoCAD + Free Blocks
20/01/2026How to Furnish Small Balconies in AutoCAD + (Free DWG Download)
Balconies are notoriously difficult to furnish due to their narrow dimensions. Standard furniture blocks often don’t fit. You need “Bistro” scale furniture to prove to the client that the space is usable and valuable.
Validating the layout of a balcony is crucial for sales and lifestyle presentation. By placing a small table and two chairs, you instantly transform a 5×10 concrete slab into a “morning coffee spot.” Accurate, small-scale blocks are the key.
Technical Guide: Best Practices for Small Space Blocks
Scale is everything in compact design:
- Bistro Sets: Use “Bistro Set” blocks (small round table + 2 chairs) which typically require a footprint of only 4ft x 4ft. This fits where standard dining sets do not.
- Door Swings: Always check the exterior door swing. Ensure your furniture block doesn’t block this swing or trap the user.
